God has made great and wonderful promises to His children.  Great blessings accrue to those who, in this life, attend to the things of the Spirit with diligence.  Those who live by faith are blessed richly with love, joy, peace and every one of the fruits of the Spirit in the here and now.  God always blesses faith.  Unfortunately, where faith is needed, there is usually some trial or circumstance that would make the non-believer cringe in fear or discontent.  Nevertheless, when the Christian trusts God in the clutch of fell circumstance, God gives him that measure of peace and assurance that stood the prophets in such good stead when they were being slaughtered for their faith.   Never does the Christian face any peril in which God does not also make available to him that measure of faith that is required to meet it fearlessly.  Even that great and climactic trail that everyone faces, the gaping grave, holds no terror for the man of faith.  God gives a repose to those, His children as the time of their death approaches if their hearts and minds are fixed upon Him.

The pictures at the top of this page have nothing to do, however, with the blessings that God gives us in this life.  Oh, to be sure, God sometimes grants material wealth to His children, but it is often much more of a burden than a blessing.  But He does indeed grant great riches to every one of His children.
